Ron Malloy, Executive Director - Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin
Ron and his wife Marsha live in New Berlin, WI with their daughter Alexis (21 with Down syndrome) and her sister Melissa (20 who is pursuing a Physician Assistant degree at Marquette University).
Ron has 21 years experience as a parent advocate for his daughter Alexis. Parent advocating quickly migrated into the formation of partnerships with a variety of professional organizations to address the most complex challenges facing people with disabilities in Wisconsin. As these partnerships grew and the rewards of creating a better community were realized, Ron left the Fortune 500 Business World to leverage his 25 years of Business Leadership experience helping non-profit organizations create a better community.
Ron has a MBA from Marquette University and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois.
Ron is on the IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self Direct) Advisory Board working to help people with disabilities live independently in the community. He is a founding member of a grass roots organization, Waukesha County Disabled Housing Concerned Citizens, working to improve housing options in Waukesha County and has experience working with private and county agencies to help people with disabilities safely access transportation in the suburbs.
