Why did you want to become a DSAW Board Member?

I wanted to become a DSAW board member because I have had the pleasure of seeing all the amazing things individuals with diverse abilities are capable of in a manufacturing environment when they’re given the opportunity. My extensive background in manufacturing coupled with my work with Engauge and Rely has allowed me to help expand the employment opportunities given to neurodivergent individuals in Southeastern Wisconsin. I want to expand the positive impact I can make and use my experience to help manufacturers all over the state of Wisconsin establish disability inclusion programs at their facilities.

Katie is Vice President of Operations and Growth at Engauge Workforce Solutions. Engauge designs efficient human capital solutions for businesses while meeting the career objectives of our associates through workforce training programs and classes. We asked Katie to answer a couple questions so you could get to know her better.

What are your work duties and responsibilities at Engauge?

As Chief Operating Officer of Engauge and Rely Contract Manufacturing, I am responsible for leading our operational execution and driving our strategic growth. Key areas include:

  • Working with our commercial and recruiting teams in Engauge to effectively support and grow existing clients as well as identify new clients and industry segments.

  • Help the Rely team leverage our deep expertise in manufacturing to establish a robust contract manufacturing service to support areas that companies either don’t want to do or are not good at.

  • To continue to expand Engauge’s capability to identify, train, and deploy diverse populations.
