Easter Seals Kindcare SibShops

During Spring of 2008, sessions will continue with a minimal registration fee. Any questions, please contact Amber Mavroff, 414-571-5566, x408.

The Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin and Easter Seals Kindcare are sponsoring 4 Spring Sibshops at Easter Seals, 1016 Milwaukee Ave., South Milwaukee.

The dates are all Saturdays, from 9-11 am: 2/23, 3/8, 4/26, and 5/31.

Easter Seals Kindcare of SE WI & the Autism Society of SE WI have paired up to begin providing SibShops! Click on the links to find information about SibShops and how they can benefit siblings of individuals with disabilities.

Sibshops give your son or daughter an opportunity to begin meeting other siblings and to gain a better understanding of his or her sibling's disability. SibShops have proven successful in creating a stronger bond between siblings, as well as a safe environment for "Sibs" without disabilities to address any concerns he or she may be having in trying to address their sibling's disabilities. Such workshops provide a fun environment that allow a child the opportunity to receive these services while participating in games and activities, and a light lunch will be provided, too!

The workshops are open on a first come, first serve basis.
