The Down Syndrome Association of WI – Children of the Heart – Greater La Crosse Area is proud to serve as a resource to families in La Crosse, Monroe, Vernon, Juneau, and Adams Counties in Wisconsin. Due to our close proximity to our neighboring states, we also provide resources to families in Southeast Minnesota and Northeast Iowa.
Our vision is that we all understand the value of those with Down syndrome in our lives and our communities. We continually strive toward full acceptance, full access, full life and full potential.
DSAW-COTH-GLA is here to support families, not judge. We support and advocate for children and adults in a wide age range. We are respectful of the choices families are making based on the phase of life they are currently in.
DSAW-COTH-GLA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization under the umbrella of Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin. Donations are tax-deductable and will be used in the greater LaCrosse area.
The mission at the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin (DSAW) is to provide support to families and individuals with Down syndrome through education, information, programs, services, and the exchange of ideas and experiences.
This is done through:
- Medical Outreach
- Fraternal and Advocacy Support Programs
- DSAW-Family Services
- Parent's First Call
- School Peer Sensitivity Training
- Ongoing Parental Support & Programming from Birth to Adulthood
- Grants & Scholarships for Member Families
- And more!
