The 13th Annual Down Syndrome Awareness Walk was held on Sunday, September 27th, 2009 at the Milwaukee County Zoo and was an incredible experience for all...Thank you to everyone who participated and helped to make this event the most successful in DSAW history!!! From the sponsors, donors, volunteers, entertainers, participants and anyone else that took part, whether in person or in spirit...Thank you for your support and belief in the mission and vision of DSAW ~ WE COULD NOT DO IT WITHOUT YOU!!
The 13th Annual Down Syndrome Awareness Walk had record breaking attendance of almost 1,700 participants AND raised a record breaking $80,000 which will support services and programs for DSAW members, as well as, the Wisconsin Down syndrome community.
DSAW's primary fundraising effort is an annual family friendly event held on the last Sunday in September each year to kick off National Down syndrome Awareness Month in October. This event is designed to raise awareness of people with Down syndrome, promote awareness and inclusion of Down syndrome within our community and focus on the possABILITIES and not the DISabilities. This event is something in which everyone, young and old, can participate in!

The 13th Annual Tom Pipines Classic Golf Outing held on Monday, August 17th, 2009 at Western Lakes Country Club was a HUGE SUCCESS!! Thank you to the volunteers, sponsors and golfers that continue to make this phenomenal event even more outstanding each year.
DSAW's 13th Annual Tom Pipines Classic Golf Outing had record breaking attendance of 38 foursomes who enjoyed 18 holes of golf, lunch and dinner, as well as, live and silent auctions AND raised $23,000 which will support services and programs for DSAW members, as well as, the Wisconsin Down syndrome community.
