The 12th Annual DSAW Buddy Walk held Sunday, September 28th, 2008 at the Milwaukee County Zoo was the Biggest Success Yet!! Over 1,400 people attended and over $63,000 was raised to date.

This could not have been possible without the help of everyone who participated through volunteering, raising money, walking and helping to spread the word about Down syndrome Awareness...The DSAW Board wishes to express their gratitude & say "Thank You"

Wisconsin author Heather J. Scharlau-Hollis has released a childrenʼs book nationwide titled, "Meet Annie!". The book tells the engaging story of a little girl with Down syndrome named Annie and it also helps to teach readers to accept who they are.

As a special treat, Heather Scharlau-Hollis appeared at DSAW's 12th Annual Buddy Walk on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Milwaukee County Zoo hosting a special book signing, as well as, having additional copies of "Meet Annie" available for sale. Heather Scharlau-Hollis resides in Beloit, Wisconsin.
