Current Volunteer Needs
Awareness Walk Volunteers (Fill out the form below to let us know your interest!)
We need volunteers to help run our awareness walks. We need help with set-up, clean-up, and manning different booths, such as our DSAW information booth, resource booth, help with staffing the silent auction and selling raffle tickets, and more!
Volunteers are needed for all of our walks across the state:
Lacrosse Walk: September 19
Statewide Zoo Walk: September 27 (this is our BIGGEST event of the year, so we will need the most volunteers here!)
Chippewa Valley Walk: September 27
Fox Cities: October 3
Sheboygan: October 10
Green Bay: TBD
iCan Shine Bike Camp Volunteers (Sign up HERE!)
iCan Shine is a nonprofit organization that teaches individuals with disabilities to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle through its iCan Bike program. This camp is sponsored by the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin and the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin.
At least 16 years old (unless accompanied by an adult)
Able to attend 90 minutes at the same time each of the 5 days of camp (15 minutes of training/daily debriefing)
Able to provide physical, emotional and motivational support to assigned rider
Able and willing to get some exercise (light jogging/running) for a great cause!

We need help with set up, clean up, food service, and more at the following events:
DSAW Family Picnic on Sunday, July 19th
Golf Outing on Wednesday, August 12th
Halloween Dance on Saturday, October 24th
Christmas Party on Saturday, December 5th
DSAW Program Volunteers (Fill out the form below to let us know your interest!)
We are looking for individuals who can run or assist in running a DSAW program once or twice a month. Most of these programs will take place at DSAW-Lakeside (Marian Center for Nonprofits: St. Francis, WI), but if you have an idea for a program in your local chapter, please let us know!
We are especially looking for:
Special Education Teachers
Young adults without disabilities for our inclusive programming
Even if you do not have a special skill or talent, we would still love your help to organize, promote, and run our new programs.
Office Volunteers (Fill out the form below to let us know your interest!)
We are looking for a team of dedicated individuals who can commit to regular volunteering (at least twice a month) in the DSAW Office (Marian Center for Nonprofits, St. Francis WI). We need help organizing our files (both hard-copy and digital), getting our new marketing materials ready for use, sending mail, answering phones, and more.
We are looking for a dedicated individuals / team of individuals who can help us with the many aspects of volunteer coordination, such as recruitment, on-boarding, training, organization, and more.
