2nd Annual Lose The Training Wheels Bike Camp Sponsored by: Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin and The Down Syndrome Association of WI, Inc.

The 2008 Milwaukee Lose The Training Wheels Bike Camp was PHENOMENAL!! By the end of the week, ALL 25 campers were up and riding on 2 wheels! THANK you to all of our wonderful volunteers and, most of all, our riders and their families.

FANTASTIC JOB TO ALL THAT PARTICIPATED!

The 2008 Bike Camp was so successful and peaked so much interest that ASSEW & DSAW will host our 2nd Annual Lose the Training Wheels Bike Camp, and even better, we will be hosting TWO camps this summer!

The camps are scheduled for June 29—July 3rd, 2009 in Milwaukee at Nicolet High School (6701 North Jean Nicolet Road, Milwaukee, WI 53217) and July 6—July 10, 2009 at Union Grove Elementary School (1745 Milldrum Street, Union Grove, WI 53182).

For two weeks this summer we will work with up to 40 campers per week (ages 7- adult) with Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder and many other special needs to help them learn to ride conventional two-wheeled bikes. This is an incredibly exhilarating and rewarding experience for all of our riders, their families, and each and every volunteer that participates in this wonderfully fulfilling camp.

WANTED: VOLUNTEERS & HAPPY CAMPERS!!

It takes a lot of hands to make this great event a success. Please consider joining us by donating, participating/referring families, or volunteering!

Call DSAW, (414) 327-3729 or email Carrie at info@dsaw.org to receive more information on the 2009 Bike Camps!
