The program will take about an hour\, and then families will be able to explore the zoo at their own pace. You’ll be able to check out African Lions\, the Masai Giraffe\, the Andean Bear and African Penguins. And don’t forgot about the Reptile House! Your pass for the day will be good until the Zoo closes at 5 pm. You are welcome to bring in a picnic lunch\, or grab a snack at Max & Jenny’s Jungle Grill. DESCRIPTION:Spend the morning fishing with officers from the McFarland and Monona Police Departments on Monday\, September 7\, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Babcock County Park Shelter in McFarland. This free\, family-friendly event is open to individuals of all ages with Down syndrome or related disabilities and their families\, with fishing equipment and lunch provided; participants with disabilities will also receive a free T-shirt if registered by August 24. Parents/caregivers must stay with participants\, and anyone age 16 or older who plans to fish must have a valid Wisconsin fishing license. \nEntrance is off of HWY 51 between the campground and boat launch.\nPlease register by Monday\, August 24th. \nParticipants ages 16+ are required to have a state fishing license. Sign-N-Play includes circle time\, peer-to-peer socialization\, games\, toys\, and more. Activities are presented using sign and spoken language. While interacting with their children\, parents can share their stories\, experiences\, and advice with other parents of young children with Down syndrome. Group size is limited\, registration is required\, and a minimum of four individuals is required to run the session.
