DESCRIPTION:RIDE/WALK IN THE PARADE in the Edgerton Heritage Day Parade! \nWe will ride the float to the parade check-in area at Elm High Drive (near Edgerton Middle School) by 11:00 AM. The parade begins at 11:30 AM\, and the route is approximately 1 mile. \nThere will be spots available on the float for riders\, and the walking pace will be slow and family-friendly. Strollers\, wagons\, and other mobility supports are welcome. \nWe will hand out small flyers and candy during the parade. Please bring sunscreen\, comfortable walking shoes\, and your Down syndrome pride gear.

DESCRIPTION:DSAW-GB is excited to sponsor and organize a special summer Music Therapy Series led by Jessica Liederbach\, MT-BC\, NMT\, NICU-MT\, owner of Carousel Music Therapy. This 60-minute experience is for young children and their caregivers to connect\, play\, and learn together through music! \nMusic therapy uses music\, movement\, rhythm\, singing\, and interactive interventions to support non-musical goals such as communication\, social skills\, emotional growth\, sensory regulation\, and self-expression. For individuals with Down syndrome\, music therapy can help build confidence\, encourage connection with peers\, strengthen language development\, and provide a fun and engaging way to learn and grow. \n\n\n\nSpace is limited to 8 individuals per class. When registering\, families are asked to sign up for all the classes they can attend.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister by July 1st

Join DSAW–SC for a series of 6 FREE American Sign Language classes held on Thursdays from 1:30–3:00 PM at the Rotary Gardens in Janesville. Whether you’re brand new or looking to build your skills\, this is a welcoming space to learn together. Stacey S will guide participants through everyday ASL to support real-life communication. Each session is designed to be engaging and interactive—featuring repetition\, music\, and hands-on activities (plus time to explore the gardens!). \nA caregiver should remain on site during the program. You can pick and choose which dates to sign up based on your schedule.

These classes will run for 6 weeks starting on Fridays\, starting Friday\, July 10th from 3:30-5PM at no cost to you thanks in part to La Crosse Community Foundation Grant and DSAW. These classes are intended for individuals with Down Syndrome and related disabilities and their immediate families.
