Virtual Support Groups
Connecting individuals statewide.
For people who care for a loved one with Down syndrome and other disabilities, a strong support network can be a vital part of the journey. That’s why we offer free virtual family groups across Wisconsin to provide support, advice, and companionship. Take a look at our offerings below and sign up for one that’s applicable to your needs.

Transition to Adulthood Support Group

Prenatal Diagnosis Support Group
Second & Fourth Wednesday of the month at 8pm
We host a twice-monthly, completely non-judgmental Prenatal Diagnosis Support Group for women who have recently received a Down syndrome diagnosis. We welcome everyone—regardless of any decisions made—to attend our judgment-free group. Join us virtually as we gather to provide support and share our experiences.

New Parent Support Group
First Tuesday of the month at 8 pm
For new parents with children ages 0 to 3, this group (hosted by a DSAW parent volunteer) occurs once a month to bring new parents together for thoughtful conversations and discussions.

Caregiver Book Club
Third Thursday of the month at 7pm
Join other DSAW caregivers once a month for a book club where we choose a different book each month and get together to discuss. We read a variety of genres (both fiction and nonfiction), and books do not focus specifically on caregiving or parenting.

Aging & Down Syndrome Caregiver Support Group
Third Wednesday of the month at 5pm
DSAW, partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association, hosts a monthly virtual support group for those who are caring for aging loved ones with Down syndrome. Each month we will provide emotional support and conversation along with an educational component.
