Parent Led IEP Training

Join us for a parent led virtual informational meeting where board members Angela, and Amanda will be joined by Emma, a Turtle Lake SpEd teacher. They will lead a friendly training that will help you better understand the IEP process and how to support your child’s education journey.

What is an IEP?
How to help your child’s team get to know your child.
How to be prepared for an IEP meeting including a pre and post checklist.
What can be included in an IEP – what you can ask for and who to ask.
Whether you’re new to special education or want to feel more confident in working with your child’s school, this session will give you helpful tools to strengthen skills and make sure your child gets the support they deserve.
