The Grandparent's Group is for individuals with have a grandchild with Down syndrome or related disability. We gather the 2nd Thursday of the month for fellowship. DSAW-South Central provides the snacks. Even if you're visiting from out of town, we hope you can join us! Consider bringing a white elephant gift.
Join DSAW-SC for a FREE, fun-filled morning at Madison Children’s Museum on December 12, starting at 9 AM! Individuals with Down syndrome or related disabilities and their immediate families can explore hands-on exhibits, spark creativity, make connections, and create wonderful memories together. Try to arrive by 9:45am
DSAW hosts a monthly support group for those who are caring for aging loved ones with Down syndrome. Each month we meet to share in conversation and support with other parents, siblings, and caregivers.
DSAW-South Central invites adults (18+) with Down syndrome or related disabilities to join us for a FREE Dinner & Movie Night on the last Thursday of each month (unless otherwise noted)from 4:45–7:45 p.m. at the Sun Prairie Center. Join other DSAW caregivers once a month for a book club! We choose a different book each month and get together to discuss. We read a variety of genres (both fiction and nonfiction), and books do not focus specifically on caregiving or parenting.
Join us at our Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin - Sheboygan and Surrounding Counties Monthly Hang Out Club! Participants must be 10 years or older. Each club date will have a different theme. This club will be a reoccurring program every month, mark your calendars for the 3rd Saturday of the month. Registration cut-offs: October
DSAW hosts a virtual support group for parents and caregivers with a loved one transitioning to adulthood. Engage in conversation with others about the many topics that are present during this transition age (approx. 15-25).
Join other grandparents who have grandchildren with Down syndrome for conversation and community. This group is led by volunteer grandparents and meets in a hybrid format. They meet in person at the SE-WI DSAW office in Wauwatosa on the first Tuesday of each month from 4:00-5:00 or you can join virtually!
This group, for new parents with children ages 0-3, is hosted each month to gather for conversation, provide support for, and build community with other new parents. Hosted by a DSAW parent volunteer, this group meets the first Tuesday of each month
