DSAW-South Central is hosting a FREE day of age- and gender-specific sessions with Terri Couwenhoven on healthy relationships, communication, boundaries, and personal well-being for individuals with Down syndrome or related disabilities. The sessions take place Saturday, November 1, with separate programs for ages 10–15 and individuals 16+, plus breakfast or pizza depending on the session.
Join other grandparents who have grandchildren with Down syndrome for conversation and community. This group is led by volunteer grandparents and meets in a hybrid format. They meet in person at the SE-WI DSAW office in Wauwatosa on the first Tuesday of each month from 4:00-5:00 or you can join virtually!
This group, for new parents with children ages 0-3, is hosted each month to gather for conversation, provide support for, and build community with other new parents. Hosted by a DSAW parent volunteer, this group meets the first Tuesday of each month

Spend the morning fishing with officers from the McFarland and Monona Police Departments on Monday, September 7, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Babcock County Park Shelter in McFarland. This free, family-friendly event is open to individuals of all ages with Down syndrome or related disabilities and their families, with fishing equipment and lunch provided;
DSAW Sign-N-Play playgroup offers children ages 1 to 5 year-olds with Down syndrome, their parents, and caregivers the opportunity to have fun and learn in a friendly environment that promotes spoken and sign language, early literacy, and social & emotional development. Join us for the Monthly Inclusive Playgroup on Saturday, September 12, from 9:00–11:00 AM at Waubesa Inclusive Park in McFarland. Families with children ages 6 and younger with Down syndrome or related disabilities are invited to connect, share resources, build friendships, and enjoy supportive play; siblings and family members of all ages are welcome.
