A class for transition age youth individuals with Down syndrome and other special needs on healthy living and wellness as well as money management, and other independent living skills. 

The wellness curriculum includes lessons on nutrition, independent cooking, regular exercise, and the importance of relaxation. The financial management curriculum includes lessons on budgeting, cash management, and basic financial exchanges. The class goal is to build knowledge and skills critical to independent living. 

WHEN: Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30am - 12:30pm. (1 hour of fitness is included) Fall semester runs thru December.

 PAYMENT: This class is IRIS billable, or can also be paid for privately. 

DSAW charges fees for some recurring programming because of the cost of curriculum, staffing, occupancy, etc. However, participant’s ability to pay should not prohibit attendance! Please contact DSAW if you need financial assistance.
